I used to think I was a victim of my story until I realized the truth; that I am the creator of my story.
I choose what type of person I will be and what type of impact I will leave on others.

Julien Abegglen Verazzi | Founder

Julien grew up around the world, mostly in conflict regions, in a plethora of languages and (spi-)ritual traditions. Inspired by human diversity, he graduated in Slavonic and Oriental Studies at the University of Geneva and then obtained his Masters degree in Humanitarian Diplomacy at SOAS (London) before dedicating his early career to the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs and the United Nations. Confronted to the scourge of war, ignorance and reciprocal hatred, he then turned to the civil society and founded the Humanisthme Association.

Since 2008, he has been working as a freelance humanist activist, celebrant and interpreter, advocating and raising awareness about discriminations and providing bespoke ceremonies through major thresholds of life. Today, he accompanies individuals, couples and families with different backgrounds, across and beyond their differences, in their search for meaning, coherence and the sacred. Besides, he draws his steadfastness from the Sufi spiritual tradition and he dreams in French, English, Spanish, Italian, Russian, German and Arabic.

Travelling is certainly what best describes Thomas, a slow journey where the path is almost more important than the goal. Born in France, he has always been motivated by the discovery of new horizons, the exploration of himself and human interactions. This starts with several years of long-distance sailing as an officer, a professional reorientation to become a building technology manager, the discovery of a new country and a new identity in Switzerland, the management of a hostel in the Valais, the crossing of Switzerland on foot, a training to become a yoga teacher.

These various life experiences have triggered in him the desire to challenge himself, an unlimited curiosity for others and a capacity to question himself without ever looking back. Yoga, in its holistic approach, is in a way the synthesis of (t)his journey that he likes to share through Hatha Yoga classes and more bespoke follow-up. In short, Thomas travels towards others and towards himself with the same curiosity and desire. He will know how to take you with him on this inner journey!
